Caring for your pet
Dr Anu Murthy
Veterinarian
Hi my name is Anu Murthy. I am the new Vet at VetCare and arrived in March 2011 from the Vet School in Edinburgh UK. I am originally from Virginia Beach USA and worked as a Veterinary technican in Richmond Viginia for 4 years before deciding to take the big decision to become a Veterinarian.
I have decided to make New Zealand my home and have enjoyed the nice weather and meeting lots of friendly Kiwis.
I am currently developing a wellness program at Vetcare and have a passion for Ophthalmology and senior pets.
I had a male golden retriever called Chewie back home in the states who made it to 14 and was the sweetest dog in the world. As I live in an apartment in central Auckland I don’t have any pets at the moment but get plenty of attention from all the dogs and cats that come to VetCare every day.
I love yoga, surfing, and skiing and will hopefully learn to snowboard this year.
I look forward to seeing you and your pets soon.
