Rommel Turns White
Rommel the Rottweiler began his life on 1 March 2000, oblivious to his
impending rise to fame, but boasting a good strong German name to go
with his breed’s German heritage. Rommel’s little black-and-tan body seemed perfectly formed and he quickly started to grow, developing a large muscular frame. His father, a TV-commercial star, would have been proud of his strapping son. Read more

Wallaby Survives Four Stories
A young grey tabby boy was rushed into our clinic after he was found lying in a gutter, unable to use his front legs. He was understandably distressed on arrival but quickly settled as the morphine kicked in to dull his pain. Examination and X-rays revealed shattered spiral fractures of both upper forelimbs. Pieces of bone floated loose in surrounding muscle bellies and the broken ends of bone were separated by large gaps. Read more

Shaggy's Tooth Pull
Shaggy is a gentle white English Bull Terrier that has led a tumultuous life Despite many ups and downs, Shaggy has now reached the grand old age of 12. Her owners first found her as a youngster at Bull Terrier Rescue, where she was recovering from a fractured leg and ribs due to physical abuse. It was love at first sight and she soon settled into her new home in Ponsonby, Auckland. Shaggy responded well to their loving care, but unfortunately was abducted from her home by thieves looking for fighting dogs. Read more
