Caring for your pet
Elizabeth Collins
Cattery Nurse
I love working in the cattery here at Vetcare Grey Lynn. I have a deep respect and admiration for all animals, and I find being in their company very rewarding.
I am a vegan and use no animal based products, heres my vegan blogsite. I enjoy the company of every single feline visitor that I am lucky enough to care for during their stay in the cattery. I hope I make their stay more enjoyable by giving them lots of attention and love when their owners are away.
Along with my cat Buda, whom I brought over with me from New York City, I have a recent addition to my nonhuman family; a newborn kitten who was found by the side of the road and kindly rescued by a compassionate jogger. She was only just born and so has been a lot of hard work as I need to get up every few hours in the middle of the night to feed her. I look forward to every day with her, and I thank everyone at Vetcare for their help, support and advice on her care.
Working in the cattery is a good experience for me because my dream is to one day have an animal sanctuary, but even if that doesn't come to fruition I feel privileged to be able to help as many animals as I can in my own life.
I welcome this opportunity to work with such a knowledgeable and kindhearted team of people, and in such a fantastic facility as Vetcare Grey Lynn.
